Cage covers and Mats - Our kids, Lilly (pictured here) and Scout, love to sit with us around the campfire. I made this mat so they would be comfy when they join us.
Car seat cover - I made this seat cover to take the place of miscellaneous blankets and sheets we tried to use to protect our car seat. (The upholstery color is black, and I used a black denim, so I turned the corner back so you can get an idea of how the cover works.) Because we travel often with our kids, they wear seatbelts, so I had to make access to the seatbelt . The back of the cover is fastened with clips that go around both headrests and the back of the seat itself.
Car seat cover from the back. Note the webbing and clips that fasten the cover around the head rests and the middle of the seat. This keeps the wind from blowing the cover off on top of the dogs.
This pet bed is a round fleece bed stuffed with fiberfill and scraps of fleece and flannel. While the bed gives an appearance that it is just tied shut, it is, in fact, sewn shut prior to tying the knots (because we know how some dogs can be when it comes to untying knots!) This bed is washable and comes in three different sizes. The sized pictured here is the largest size available.
This is Lilly on an Orthopaedic Pet Bed / Therapy Dog Bed. Shortly after starting Pampered Petz, we found out that Lilly has extremely arthritic hips. Regular pet beds do not provide enough padding to support pets with arthritis. The foam pads used for these beds are 2 ft. wide and come in thicknesses of 2 in., 3 in., and 4 in. The pad itself is not washable. However, we have designed a "Barf Guard" to protect the pad. The guard is made of a heavy duty vinyl that is then be covered with a fleece cover that can be removed and washed when needed. For those with hardwood or linoleum floors, a no-skid backing can be sewn onto the bottom of the bed to keep it from sliding all over.
This is Scout, trying on his raincoat for the first time (hence the "What are you doing to me?" look). The outer layer is water resistant and the inside is lined with flannel to keep the coat from sliding all over. There are three Velcro strips in the front and a Velcro strip under the belly to hold the coat in place. We can also use this design to make a winter coat.
